Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I live in my lodge permanently?

No. Our holiday lodges are restricted to Holiday Home use only. We are open 12 months of the year and you are welcome to holiday here at any time. However, this cannot be used as your main residence; we have a holiday licence only, we are not a Residential Park.

  • How long is the licence agreement?

Our lodges are being sold with a 50 year licence agreement or 99 years for an additional £20,000.

  • What are the running costs for a lodge?

Site fees are £3,000 per annum. This includes your contribution to non-domestic rates. Gas, electricity and water are metered and therefore the cost would be representative of usage.

  • What size is the lodge and how much?

Lodge sizes are 36ft x 20ft and can have 1 or 2 bedrooms. You can choose a design or layout to suit your requirements. You can also choose to visit the factory and take a look at specific design features and quality finishing touches. Depending on what specification you choose and any changes you make, lodge prices will start at £150,000. This includes siting, connection to all services and standard wrap around deck with Hot tub. All you need to do is pack your suitcase and start using your new holiday lodge.

  • How long will it take to arrive?

Once the design has been signed off your lodge should be finished in around 10-12 weeks. Depending on lodge demands it could take slightly longer.

  • How do I go about buying a lodge?

Once you have chosen your plot you pay a non-refundable deposit of 10%, then you choose your lodge. The exterior elements of the design are specified by Acorn Farm Park to ensure that the lodge meets our planning and design guidelines. Once your lodge is put into build you make a further payment of 50% of the remaining balance. The remaining balance is due prior to you taking possession of your lodge.
